Monday Munchies

I’m going to make this short and sweet – I’m cooking up a delicious dinner and will be sharing the recipe in a new feature called Recipe of the Week!

My breakfast included the yummy cinnamon apples I made on the stove-top yesterday:


In my bowl…

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Publix organic old fashioned oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • Probably about 1/4 cup of cinnamon apples

Soooo good!  This oatmeal is seriously just like eating apple crisp, my favorite fall dessert, for breakfast!

My morning snack was a Z-bar:


I needed a snack that I could chow down really fast between classes today – I did a read aloud/think aloud activity with a short story in all my classes today, so it’s not like I could grab a snack while they worked.  I was reading the whole day!

Lunch wasn’t very imaginative, I am sorry to tell you.  Leftover pot roast and potatoes:


I also enjoyed a mini Twix bar with my lunch, a mini Three Musketeers bar from the candy dish in our Assistant Principal’s office, and a Ghirardelli chocolate square that I got free at the mall.  Which is more than enough chocolate for the day!
